Wi-Fi Switch
Switch a load on or off from anywhere in the world over Wi-Fi.
IndexWork
Selected work first. Then smaller experiments. The archive is where it started, kept as a learning record rather than a ceiling.

An ultrasonic obstacle-sensing aid, built as an assistive device.

Started on an Ender 3, upgraded to a Bambu Lab A1. Keychains and lithophanes sold on Facebook Marketplace, and one product I pitched cold: a printed keychain with an NFC tag inside, so a tap on a phone opens the business’s page. I walked into a local trades company, explained why they needed one, and they ordered a batch. Nobody in New Zealand was doing it yet.
It was small, and the market was just starting to move. I moved to India before I could grow it. What stuck: the first time I sold something I had designed to a business that didn’t know me.
B-04 · Teaching
Electronics, PCB design, Proteus and Arduino, taught over 30 days. Five-plus students mentored.
Built with Arduino boards, cheap sensors and whatever was on the desk. They’re here as evidence of progression, not as the ceiling.
Built from readily available sensors during the 2020 shortage. Never medically certified: certification cost more than the build.
Watch the explainer
Cuts mains power when it detects fire, so live wiring can’t shock anyone during the emergency. A prototype, not a certified safety device.
Watches a gas sensor and uses a servo to turn the gas off when it detects a leak. A prototype, not a certified safety device.
Watch the build
Feeds water straight to the roots through a super-absorbent polymer bag, losing less water than drip irrigation.
Watch the build
Measures distances up to 170 cm with ultrasonic pulses, the same trick bats use.
